This is adorable. I have done a distressed finish on canvas but never regular paper. I like to use things found in nature to distress.

My husband and I took a trip to Wyoming last year and took some lovely pictures of the landscape. I had http://www.CanvasPress.com print and stretch the black and white photos on canvas. I brought home some flowers, dirt and other natural items we found while sightseeing. I used these items to add color to the surface of the canvas. This added such life to my 7′ x 3′ mural.

Anytime you can add finishes by hand it makes the work so special.
