As a WAHM, of course I wanted to share my trials with two (that’s right…I just have two…I don’t to hear from all you moms and dads that have a litter of kids, telling me that I have it easy either!) little ones.
There are a ton of mom blogs out there, and while doing my research, I find that I’m nowhere near as eloquent or sharp witted…my thought process is rather simple and my range of vocabulary is limited…but I thought I’d put myself out there anyway, if for nothing else than to give everyone else a good laugh.
Raised in Hawaii, I moved to Northern California after I got married (yup…I moved for a MAN! I know, I know…but he’s a local boy) and have been here for 10 years now. Both my husband and I worked for the airline industry, but I have since resigned since a certain airline and it’s big wigs made it almost impossible for me to stay employed and raise my kids at the same time – a shame too, since I loved being a flight attendant. DH still works for “the” company, so we’re afforded at least the benefits of being able to go home to Hawaii quite often without breaking the bank.
Since my move, I’ve found myself pretty obsessed with everything Hawaiian. And don’t get me into the food! Man, I miss the food from Hawaii **almost** as much as I miss my family (I said almost ma!). So if I talk a lot about Hawaii and all things related, now you know.
So maybe this is just my way of writing my own diary and trying to keep track of all the things that I’ve found to help me (or at least I think would help if I actually followed through).
I’m just another SAHM trying to make ends meet while keeping the family unit together and functioning. I’m an information junkie but I don’t implement things very well…queen of procrastination, an organized wanna-be, cookbook junkie, novice webmistress, surf-a-holic, time-management non-professional, and multi-tasking supreme goof-up.
What made me think I can create a site/blog that would actually be of use to other mommies? Probably just adding another thing on my list that I want to do, try to learn, and leave unfinished…but we’ll see. ![]()
